A Couple Things...

I apologize for not posting much recently (& not keeping up with my daily intake! it's hard!!), so here's a post with a couple different things I've been meaning to post. So let's get to it!

1. You will benefit.
It's taken me nearly 6 months to get to this point, but I promise you, you will feel confident and healthy and amazing by working out and eating healthy.
I was talking to my mom about this the other day; I've realized that I really do not care what the tag on my clothes says anymore. I do not care if it says "small" or "7" or whatever! I am going to wear what fits and flatters me. And guess what? No one around me knows what size I'm wearing! They don't care either (And if they do, then they really need to take a look at themselves and get a hobby)!
I will admit, this confidence does not come overnight. To some people, it comes naturally, to others (like me), it can take a couple months. But dear, it is so worth it.

2. A happy, healthy lifestyle means sacrifice.
Now don't be alarmed, I'm not saying that it's going to be near impossible. It will be hard at times, but like I said earlier, it's worth it!
When I say sacrifice, I mean waking up half an hour earlier to get in a good meal before you work out. I mean holding a flashlight while you run at night because you didn't have time in the morning. I mean not buying that reeeeally cute sweater because you'd rather spend the money on some fruit and vegetables (which are not cheap, incoming college freshmen).
But this lifestyle isn't all sacrifice; There's lots of rewards! Such as meeting new people at the gym, losing weight, seeing muscle tone, feeling confident, being able to treat yourself and not feel guilty, etc.

3. There is no quick fix.
Has anyone else's Facebook page been swarmed by the weight lost posts? I mean the ones that start with "A secret fruit helped this girl lose weight!" or "This college student used this method and now looks like this!"
Darling, that's all fake.
I actually spoke with a girl on Tumblr a few weeks ago. She has a "fitblr" (a Tumblr page dedicated to progress pictures, healthy recipes, etc.) and it turns out that one of those Facebook page scams stole her pictures to post that add. So those girls in the pictures did not use whatever the add is trying to sell! Those girls WORKED for those bodies! Those girls sacrificed for months to look like that!
There are programs like Weight Watchers and gyms tend to have personal trainers which will help you lose weight efficiently. But know that even with those extra aspects, it still takes time.
I know, I know. It's frustrating. Trust me! I've wanted to have a body like a VS model for years now! But accepting that it is going to take time and patience is the incredibly hard first step.

I hope these 3 points make sense! I've gained such a passion for sticking to my goals lately, and I hope I can inspire others to do the same, or even make some new goals!
If any of my readers have more in-depth questions (such as what I do for workouts, what moves I like and which I don't, what I put in some of my smoothies, what I eat before workouts, etc.) let me know! I'd be happy to make a FAQ page or email you separately.

**Just reiterating something I have on my "daily intake" page: I am not a nutritionist nor a trainer. These are just personal stories and things I've learned through the years.
